His training in a Bachelor of Film and Television at the prestigious Victorian College Of The Arts is backed by a theoretical degree at the Australian National University majoring in English Literature, Theatre Studies and Film Theory.
At film school he was nominated for most outstanding undergraduate student and best cinematography 2008. At ANU he received three chancellor’s awards for academic distinction.
His graduating VCA film 'The Long Night' played at a host of international festivals including Clermont Ferrand and Fantasia Montreal. His following short 'Status' won two awards at genre festivals in the United States, while 'Black And White' focussed on an online release and attracted over 28'000 views.
Richard continues to work towards his first feature length project: 'Lionheart.'
